Supporting Children after Separation Witnessing parents separating can be stressful for children, and how your children react and adjust to this change will vary. This service provides counselling for children who are experiencing parental conflict and separation, including coping with situations such as alternating between households, or moving to new schools and neighbourhoods. Counsellors work directly with children, either one on one, or in a small group of children of similar age. Parental consent is required for a referral to this service. For more information or to make an appointment please call 1300 991 443. This program is funded by the Department of Social Services. Service offered in Toowoomba.
