Busiko’s Guardian Pharmacy in Oakey has once again, generously partnered with Lifeline Darling Downs to make life-saving contributions across the Darling Downs region.

Earlier this year, Lifeline Darling Downs was proud to be selected as the recipient for hundereds of knitted winter items donated to Busiko’s. Now, Busiko’s are further showing their support by designating their Oakey store as a drop-off point for unwanted cans and bottles as part of the Containers for Change recycling scheme.

All eligible items collected will then be processed at Lifeline’s Return It Recycling Depot and under the Containers for Change Program.

All of the proceeds raised from the recycled cans and bottles will go help support our free suicide prevention and crisis support services in Toowoomba and across South West Queensland.

“We are delighted Busiko’s Pharmacy have decided to support us in this manner. Every eligible container counts.” says Lifeline Darling Downs CEO, Derek Tuffield OAM.

The special blue bins have been placed outside the store since early July providing an accessible way for the Oakey community to make a real difference for the environment and for people in need of life-saving crisis support.

We thank the community for getting behind this valuable partnership and support this initiative.
