This face to face Accidental Counsellor course provides participants with the skills and most importantly the confidence to Recognise, Respond and Refer safely and effectively to someone who is in distress or in crises.

The training is being offered free of charge to participants and comprises of two parts; a 90-minute e-learning component and a 3.5-hour face to face workshop. This unaccredited course is designed to equip anyone to support another person and includes important information about self-care and responding appropriately in a range of situations. For community, business and other groups this training can be offered on-site.

Sponsored by NRMA and RACV, this national project with Lifeline Australia, aims to provide support to communities that have been impacted by severe weather events, by equipping members of these communities (community connectors) to safely and effectively support someone who may be distressed or experiencing a crisis.
