The annual Chronicle Lifeline Bookfest has always been a great way for booklovers to meet like-minded people, find pre-loved treasures and expand their collections without worrying about its impact on the planet or their wallet.  Avid shoppers save quality second-hand books from landfill while supporting lifechanging and lifesaving work in the community by raising funds for Lifeline Darling Downs.

Due to COVID-19 and the restrictions on large gatherings, The Chronicle Bookfest may look a little different next year - however, bookworms don’t need to worry about missing out. We are excited to announce that we are opening a new temporary Bookfest pop-up bookshop on Thursday 1 October, 2020.

Located in the old Dimmy's store, Wilsonton Shopping Centre the shop will trade Wednesdays to Saturdays 8.30am to 5pm until January 2021.

Each year, Bookfest is a vital fundraising event for us with all proceeds going towards our crisis support and suicide prevention services, which are provided locally to change and save lives in our region.

With special thanks to the Wilsonton Shopping Centre and our wonderful volunteers, this COVID-safe approach to a long-running tradition will be a great opportunity to gift yourself or your loved ones with fantastic books perfect for all tastes and age groups. Whether you’re looking for something fun, thrilling, romantic or educational, Lifeline’s Bookfest pop-up bookshop has it all with nothing over $5. You can also find a huge variety of CDs, DVDs all at bargain prices.

If you have a few spare hours and would like to volunteer at the pop-up shop please contact Angela on 4699 1607.
