Have you got 30 seconds to save a life?

As Australians grapple with COVID-19 they are turning to Lifeline in greater numbers than ever before. In March we received almost 90,000 calls for help nationally which equates to one call every 30 seconds. We have NEVER received so many calls in our fifty-seven-year history. The negative consequences of a pandemic on mental health are serious. These consequences in combination with the impacts of drought and bushfires prior to the COVID-19 outbreak, have left many Australians in a very vulnerable situation.

The need is now.

As our two hundred and fifty retail stores close we lose the ability to generate the $5 million revenue needed to keep our centres open. Our centres provide a wide variety of services including suicide prevention and crisis support right in the heart of local communities. We support thousands of community members every day. In this current climate we are unable to conduct our famous Bookfest and other fundraising activities to raise funds for our national call centre.

We need your help.

Please donate in the next 30 seconds and help save a life. Your donation will help keep our local centres open and someone on the end of the phone 24 hours a day, seven days a week for anyone who needs help. Please help others in the next 30 seconds and donate here Lifeline Emergency Appeal
