Ron Hampton has a varied history in education from Primary Teaching in WA to teaching in universities in Queensland (UQ, QUT, USQ and GU), and delivering cultural education to GP Registrars.

He also has spent time in manufacturing and retail industries as well as involvement with prisons and mental health (Mental Health Review Tribunal 2008 – current).

He sits on the Board of Carbal Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Services and is a former chair for some years. He currently sits on the DWM PHN Mental Health Sub-committee and is a Pyjama Angel. He is passionate about and advocates for cultural inclusion, and supports mental health initiatives such as TSPN.

Ron joined the Board in November 2009 and is currently the longest serving member.
