On Tuesday morning 3 June 2008 the Interact Club of Centenary Heights State High School presented Derek Tuffield - General Manager of Lifeline Darling Downs and South West Queensland Limited with 5,911 food items to be distributed to the needy in Toowoomba and surrounding districts. This is the 6th year that Centenary Heights State High School has donated food to Lifeline for distribution. The target this year set by the Interact Club was 3,000 food items. The school community exceeded its target by a staggering 2,911 items or exceeded expectations by 97%. Lifeline is extremely grateful to the Centenary Heights State High School Community for their generous continuous support for those most in need. Win Television and The Chronicle covered this wonderful annual event. Lifeline will now ensure that this food is shared  with other non-government organisations like The Salvation Army, The Basement and Manor House to mention a few.
