Personal Helpers and Mentors Program

Funded by Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs.

This service uses a Strengths-Based Recovery Approach to assist people who experience mental illness. Workers focus on participant’s strengths, recognising that people can live a satisfying and contributing life whilst living with mental illness.

Our work is guided by team members who themselves have experienced mental illness in their lives.

Priority is given to people from the following backgrounds:- Indigenous Australians, culturally and linguistically diverse, homeless or at risk of homelessness, previously institutionalised or incarcerated, drug and alcohol issues, and young people aged 16 to 24 years.

Anyone living with mental illness is welcome to contact us. Please note our geographical area covers Warwick, Stanthorpe, Goondiwindi and surrounding areas.
