Some behaviours that may indicate a problem are:
- Family conflict (fighting/yelling)
- Withdrawing/not talking
- Spending less time with family and/or friends
- Financial problems
- Behind in paying bills
- Credit card bills escalating
- Secrecy about money
- Difficulties at work
- Drinking/smoking excessively
- Anxious, stressed or feeling depressed
What is Gambling Help?
We are a team of committed staff working together to provide a free and confidential service dealing with the problems associated with excessive gambling.
Our Team
We have Professional Counsellors who provide counselling, information and support to individuals, families or friends of people affected by gambling. Counselling can either be "face to face" or over the phone (by appointment only). We provide groups throughout the year for both people with gambling problems, and those affected by gambling. We also provide support to clients who wish to self-exclude.
We have a Financial Counsellor who provides counselling on money related issues for those people affected by gambling.
We have a Community Educator who provides liaison to both the community and venues, updating them on our service, and issues surrounding problem & responsible gambling.
