Refugee and Migrant Communities Project
Funded by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship:
Lifeline has provided Refugee and Migrant settlement assistance since september 1999. The project aims to identify communities of culturally and inguistically diverse (CALD) people within defined target areas and facilitate linkages with mainstream service delivery agencies and enhance these communities' capacity to develop a level of sustainability and establish supports to meet their own needs. The refugee and Migrant worker assists in Community Capacity Building that supports the settlement, establishment and participation of communities in the wider Australian community, including assisting to develop their capacity to organise, plan and advocate for their own needs.
