Lifeline Darling Downs & SWQ Ltd (Lifeline Darling Downs) is a community based organization providing an array of counselling and community services, to an area roughly the size of Victoria with a population of approximately 255,000 people.
In addition we have a commercial arm, specializing in recycling, second hand stores and employment programs.  These represent approximately a third of our $12M plus annual turnover. We are a major regional employer with 160 plus paid staff and over 400 dedicated volunteers.

Lifeline Darling Downs is also a key player in Community Recovery activities. We were a major organization involved in responding to the unprecedented floods which hit Toowoomba and surrounds in 2011, and subsequent floods in Roma, St George and Charleville in February 2012 onwards.

A Values based organization, we adopt a strengths based approach, working with individuals and the wider community, helping them find their voice to engage in productive dialogue with other key stakeholders in the region.  We work with people to empower them to make the best possible decisions in their own life, and for their own community. We remain committed to ensuring people always remain our focus.
